If all goes to plan then this will be the new home for Sea Dweller this winter. However, quite a few plans have come and gone in 2020 so there could be more twists and turns to the story.
We wanted to be sea gypsies and travel around the Mediterranean but leaving the EU has thwarted that plan and there's no information on long term stays in EU countries for people who want to stay beyond 90 days. At the moment, you will only be able to stay 90 days in every 180. The boat can stay longer but not the crew.
Until things become clearer, we are applying for residency in Spain at El Mazarron in Murcia. There's a marina with good facilities and a working town that doesn't close down on 1 September. This isn't to be confused with citizenship but it will allow us to stay for as long as we want and travel from our home port to other places around the Mediterranean Sea. You have to agree, it looks very appealing.
I've booked me flights :-)
