Boat ownership begins here!

November isn't the best time to be on the seas around the south coast of England but there was no way of avoiding it.  We bought Sea Dweller on 22 November.  She was moored in Weymouth marina; a lovely spot if you're ever visiting.  We had met her previous owners a few days earlier for a handover but, inevitably, there was an overload of information.  Fortunately, they've given us their contact details so I hope that they're prepared for the barrage of questions that will follow.

Having taken over the boat too late in the day to set off, we spent the night on board.  It's like moving house, you've got 'stuff' everywhere and it all needs stowing.

Needless to say, it gets easier once you've decided to pour a gin and tonic.

  1. Congratulations to the new Boat Captain!
May you always have Gin on board and a hand-width of water under your keel!
